Shangri-La: The Flower Show at Honolulu Museum of Art

The Garden Club of Honolulu presented spectacular displays of floral design

 and horticultural exhibits at the Honolulu Museum of Art.

Big Island of Hawaii Kilauea Caldera, Halema'uma'u Crater

Kilauea has been erupting for 30 years.

Halema'uma'u Crater lava lake (active since 2008) spilled over its rim.  Most recently part of the crater wall collapsed and fell into the lava lake.  This caused an explosion when damp rock hit the molten surface of the lake.

Ola Ka Ha - celebration of Hawaiian Arts History and Culture

A glorious day of music and dance with liquid sunshine blessings.  This concert celebrated Iolani Palace and the alii who lived there.  Hawaiian musicians and hula halau entertained all who attended.  The event was organized by Mailani Makainai and Kaui Dalire of Ha Enterprises in partnership with Friends of Iolani Palace.

Aurora is a natural light display seen in the high latitude areas.  

They are caused by charged particles, electrons and protons,

 entering the earth's atmosphere.
