Smithsonian Folklife Festival

This year's Folklife Festival focused on Hungarian Heritage, 

One World, Many Voices, and The Will to Adorn.  The festival is held each year on the National Mall with music, crafts, demonstrations, and food.  

A delightful time exploring different cultures and traditions.

Kids Bento Box Lunches

Aren't these fun!  They all look pretty tasty too!

Bento originated in Japan and included rice, fish or meat, and vegetables

in a box-shaped container.

Brighton Azalea Garden

On Mother's Day we toured the Azalea Garden

(near the Brighton Dam) provided 

by Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.

There are over 22,000 plants, 5 acres, 15 varieties.
