Ascension Day - St Andrew's Priory

Ascension Day 2014 - the 147th birthday 

of St Andrew's Priory, Honolulu, Hawaii. 

Founded in 1897 by Queen Emma for equal  access to education for girls.

Decorating the Coral Cross by the Junior Class has been a special tradition 

along with songs by  juniors and seniors highlight the celebration.

Prince Kuhio Festival, Hawaii

Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole sought to elevate the education of native Hawaiians and engage them in community activities.  In March Prince Kuhio is honored with festivals, parades, and other activities.  Here are some of the entertainers at the festival in Honolulu.

Chinese New Year in Hawaii

It's a Chinese New Year parade in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What an event!  

Lots of lions and dragons along with bands, martial art demonstrations, 

queens & princesses, and lots of organizations 

marching, dancing, and dramatizing.

River, we surely are happy to live in Hawaii.

New House

Yes, we sold our Maryland house and moved to Hawaii!  Yeah!
