Ginger Lei

Here's the beautiful and lovely scented ginger lei that my husband brought back for me from Hawaii. The white ginger buds are wrapped with purple orchid petals. Its fragrance is simply heavenly.

Winter is Here!

Oh my! Back to Maryland and there came the snow and more snow....

Scenic Hawaii

We spent a glorious and beautiful 5 days in Honolulu, Hawaii. The weather was perfect and such a nice change from cold, wintry Maryland. How wonderful to attend a family wedding and see this scenic view.

It's winter! Brrr...it's much too cold for me. Here's the view from my living room. I'm certainly looking forward for a short trip to Hawaii and warmer weather.

Christmas flower - the Poinsettia

It's almost Christmas! Here's the poinsettia flower in our home. Since the kids are no longer living at home and will not be here for Christmas, we decided not to put up the Christmas tree. Instead we are enjoying a huge poinsettia plant.

Today was our first real snow...looks like 3 - 4 inches fell. Brrr. Hoping for a Merry Christmas, not necessarily a white one!
